Introduction

SATA2-PCIX01 is a four-port Serial ATA to PCI-X Host Adapter. It supports a 64-bit 133 MHz PCI-X bus and the Serial ATA Generation 2 transfer rate of 3Gb/s (300 MB/s).

  • Serial ATA (SATA) V 3Gbps (300MB/s) and 1.5Gbps (150MB/s)
  • Compliant with SATA 1.0, and ATA, SATA 3Gb/s Extensions to SATA 1.0:
    • Port Multiplier with FIS-based switching
    • Native Command Queuing with non-zero offsets
  • Four independent DMA channels with 2KB FIFO per channel
  • Independent command fetch, scatter/gather, and command execution
  • Supports ATAPI devices: CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, etc.
  • Supports hot-plug of SATA devices
  • One activity LED per channel
  • Output swing control for backplane and extended cable length applications
  • Supports spread spectrum clocking to reduce EMI
